The Hahn-Banach Theorem was first proved by Eduard Helly in around $1912$, some $15$ years before Stefan Banach and Hans Hahn developed it independently.



This article is complete as far as it goes, but it could do with expansion.
In particular: It seems Helly proved some special cases, then Hahn and Banach formulated it in its full generality
