Identity Element of Addition on Numbers

Theorem

On all the number systems:

  • natural numbers $\N$
  • integers $\Z$
  • rational numbers $\Q$
  • real numbers $\R$
  • complex numbers $\C$

the identity element of addition is zero ($0$).
