Number Base/Examples/5/32

Example of Number expressed in Base $5$ Notation

The integer expressed in decimal as $32$ is expressed in base $5$ as $112_5$.

Proof

\(\ds 32\) \(=\) \(\ds 1 \times 5^2 + 1 \times 5 + 2\)
\(\ds \) \(=\) \(\ds 25 + 5 + 2\)
\(\ds \) \(=\) \(\ds 112_5\)
