The case here is, I am visiting my family in India currently for a month (August 2024) and will be flying back in September 2024. So, my passport is about to expire in around 8 months in April 2025. So, I want to renew it. So, I was planning to do it in India since I am currently in India. Will that cause a problem? since at the POE, will the officers question me alot since I renewed my passport in India. I do have a valid visa (F1- status). So, I would be carrying two passports - one valid (renewed) one & the other(invalid) that has my visa. So, what would you suggest I do? To renew it in India or renew it after coming to USA?

As far as the US is concerned, it's perfectly fine to enter on a new passport along with a valid visa in an old passport.

It's also perfectly fine for you to re-enter on your current passport and renew it while you are in the US. India is in the 6-month club so Indian passports are valid for entry up to the date of the passport's expiration (i.e. you are find to enter on that passport until April 2025), and as an F1 student, you are admitted for "D/S" on your I-94, so the length of validity of the passport does not affect your I-94.
