I have a trip to Colombia in 2 weeks, my colombian passport expires in 5 months. I have an American passport as well. Can i travel to Colombia with my Colombian passport? Should I check in with my American passport? Thanks

Travel.State.Gov says:

All Colombian citizens—regardless of dual citizenship—MUST present a valid, non-expired Colombian passport to enter and exit Colombia. Colombian citizens traveling with non-Colombian passports may be unable to depart the country until they obtain a Colombian passport.

And

Persons who are both U.S. and Colombian citizens MUST travel between these countries with both passports, presenting the Colombian passport upon departing Colombia and the U.S. passport upon arrival in the United States.

You can and should enter Colombia with your Colombian passport. See Colombian entering Colombia on day of Colombian passport expiry date, could I be refused entry?

Then it would be sensible to renew your passport in Colombia.
