I hold an automatic-only license in the UK, but I know how to drive a manual. Am I allowed to drive a manual transmission car in Canada?

For more specific personal information, I am Canadian and drove manual cars in Canada for years, so I am confident in my ability to drive a manual transmission car. In the provinces I've lived in, my understanding is there is no distinction between transmission types on your license -- a full license allows you to drive any car. I exchanged my Ontario license for a UK license, and since I don't have paperwork to prove I took my test in a manual car, I was issued an automatic only license. Some day I might try to track that down, but I don't intend to drive much in the UK, so it hasn't been pressing.
