I am an Indian working in the Cayman Islands.
Can I go to India via UK or USA without a visa?

I don't know what your final destination in India is, I picked Mumbai.

Routes without a visa are very complex, very long, and quite expensive.

One is:

  • Fly from Grand Cayman to Kingston, Jamaica. Indian citizens have visa-free entry to Jamaica.
  • Fly from Kingston to Mumbai via Panama City, São Paulo, Addis Ababa:
    • Panama:

Nationals of India with a normal passport can transit without a visa for a maximum of 12 hours if they:

      • departed from or will arrive into a country they have a visa for; or
      • departed from or will arrive into a country they have a residence permit for; or
      • are returning to the country where they started their journey.
    • Brazil:

Passengers can transit without a visa if they have a connecting flight booked on the same ticket.

    • Ethiopia:

Passengers can transit without a visa for a maximum of 12 hours.

In total, that's 4 stops, nearly 3 days of travel, and quite a detour.

Note that this is information from Wikipedia and Timatic, I have not double-checked if it's all (still) true and exact. You definitely should before committing to that route.

Alternatively, you can travel via Nassau and London. You will need a Direct Airside Transit Visa, but this should be easier to get than a regular Standard Visa (I think).
