I have a flight from BOM to BWI with 80 minutes layover at LHR. If flight is on time but I miss my connection simply because of security queues or the time it takes to get to the other gate will the airline rebook me on next flight for free? I will ofc make my best effort and it’s on one PNR

Yes. For a single PNR the airline is responsible to get you to your destination.
If you miss your connecting flight We will automatically rebook you to the next available British Airways flight.
If you want to be extra safe: just take photos (with time stamp), when you are off the plane, arrive at security, leave security, arrive at bus stop (if there applicable), leave the bus at the departure terminal, and arrive at the gate. This ill clearly document your connection journey and if something wants to argue that this was your fault, you can show that it wasn't.
If your flight is on time, 80 minutes should be plenty even with sluggish security and a scenic bus ride (unfortunately that happens a lot in LHR). If the flight is delayed, the airline has nothing to argue about and you may even be entitled to compensation.
