I hold a Pakistani passport and will be travelling to Sweden this summer on a tourist visa.
My visa begins on July 21 but my flight will land in Sweden on July 20 at 11:50PM.
I will be landing in Zurich on July 20 at 7PM. Should I then ensure that I land there on July 21 as well?
Will this be an issue?
As you have a transit in a Schengen country your visa has to be active to get through immigration (passport control) there.
As it is your visa will not be active yet for several hours and you will not be able to wait for it to get activated as you have a connection to make.
So either you need a different flight or need to apply for a different visa. I guess the flight is easier to change.
