Do I need a transit visa for the stop in Thailand?

According to https://www.copaair.com/en-us/timatic/ you can transit through Bangkok and Phuket airports without a visa provided you have a confirmed onward ticket for a flight to a third country within 24 hours. You must stay in the international transit area of the airport and have documents required for the next destination.
You must also not be travelling on one of the long list of airlines to which the TWOV facility does not apply.
