I'll arrive in Oslo Gardermoen via Icelandair from Reykjavik. Have a 2.25 hour layover. During that time I need to transfer to a domestic flight (Norwegian) to Ă…lesund. I understand that I will have to collect and recheck my suitcase, going back through Security.

Is 2.25 hours enough to get through Customs (nothing to declare), retrieve and recheck my bag and get back through Security? Any tips for navigating the airport to arrive at my domestic gate on time for boarding?

If your flight to Oslo is on time, this is a no-brainer. You will have plenty of time to get your luggage, customs-clearance, check-in, security and go to your domestic gate in about 2.5 hours. Check-in and bag-drop for your domestic Norwegian flight do not close until 30 minutes before departure, although that might be to strech it a bit too far. There is occasionally some waiting time at the security check and also a small distance to walk to the gate. You have to be at the gate at least 20 minutes before departure.

There is still some room for a delay, but if your flight to Oslo is an hour or so or more delayed, your plan will fail. Icelandair flights from Reykjavik to Oslo are usually on time, but during the last 90 days, e.g. flight FI318 had six delays potentially breaking your plan and was once diverted to Stockholm. If that is something you want to risk, is up to you to decide.
