French Guiana (Guyane française) is an overseas region of France. It is located on the northern coast of South America, north of and east of . The official and main language is French, with many other languages spoken locally. The currency is the Euro.

Guiana is a French département d'outre-mer, so its laws are very close to the laws of the mainland. However, the visa requirements are different.
