Structures and areas used as places of worship for Muslims (مَـسْـجِـد,).
A mosque (masjid) is fixed place dedicated to worship in islam. This tag may be used for any structure or area commonly known as a mosque in English, although within an Islamic context, some may technically be considered musallahs, jama'at khanas, or other types of structures.
As is the case with religion most times, some practices and etiquette will vary by locale, and location tags should be included to provide context. For the Hajj or Umrah, the related tags pilgrimages and mecca are likely to be more applicable unless the question is specifically about the Grand Mosque itself.
