Saint Petersburg (Russian: Санкт-Петербург) is a federal city in Russia, second-largest city after Moscow. It was founded by the Tsar Peter the Great and was the Imperial capital of Russia. The former names are Petrograd (Russian: Петроград) and Leningrad (Russian: Ленинград).
