I am waiting on my SENTRI renewal to be approved, with the expiry date approaching. On my TTP dashboard under Pending Review it says

Due to a significant increase in application volume, we are extending the grace period to allow you continued full benefits while U.S. Customs and Border Protection is finalizing your renewal application.

Learn more in FAQs

Unfortunately, the "Learn more in FAQs" link in my Pending Review section is broken, so I cannot directly access more details. The only relevant information I found on the TTP FAQ page doesn't seem to address the grace period.

How do I renew my Trusted Traveler (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST) membership?

You become eligible to renew your membership 1 year prior to program expiration. If you submit a renewal application before your membership expires, you will be able to continue to use benefits after your membership expiration date...

How long is this grace period, and do I need to do anything else or will my SENTRI card just be accepted? I will take a screenshot my dashboard to show CBP if questioned about the expiry.

I have found old posts online mentioning grace periods of 6, 12, 18, and 24 months, but I haven't found any official statement - only these outdated blog and Reddit posts.

How do I renew my Global Entry membership? You become eligible to renew your membership one year prior to program expiration. If you submit a renewal application before your membership expires, you will be able to continue to use benefits up to 24 months after your membership expiration date.

It still appears to be 2 years (at least for Global Entry). My Global Entry took more than a year to renew so I had to dig into the grace period but I didn't encounter any problems.
