I will use the opportunity of a stay in Tallinn at the end of May to hop for 48 hours to Helsinki.

The trip will be "Hilton Tallinn Park" → (this is the moment I would like to store the luggage) → ferry (Eckerö-Line) → Helsinki → ferry (Tallink) → airport

Ideally, I would like to store a suitcase at the ferry place, to pick it up on the way back (assuming I arrive at the same place, which is not yet clear from the reservations). But anything reasonably on the way would be great as well.

Is such an arrangement possible (= reasonably doable)?

Thanks to the helpful folks at r/Eesti I have the answer, it is in the FAQ of the harbour:

It is possible to store luggage in Old City Harbour Terminals A and D .

Luggage lockers are located on the 1st floor of Terminal A Arrivals and on the 1st floor of Terminal D and accept €1, €2 or 50 cent coins.

A larger locker (45 x 60 x 85 cm) costs 4 euros / 24 h, a smaller one (40 x 26.5 x 70 cm) costs 3 euros / 24 h.

To use the lockers, you have to pay for one 24-hour storage period. You can pay later for a longer period. Maximum period of storage is 10 days.
