I have just received my renewal decision for the permit in EU (Latvia) and it's refused though my document of travel the permit card has validity till 12th June 2025. I am abroad at the moment, wondering If I fly before that and enter EU to collect some stuff and probably apply for an appeal (as they have made a blunder on their part) does someone know if that's possible ?

Wondering if they instantly update on the Schengen Visa System that xx person document has been refused or would it show only 12th of June when entering the EU border.

For others facing similar challenges , I found out in the case of the Latvia the decision of the renewal of residency permit goes into action after 2 business days meaning the border guards (I am still not sure about the entire Schengen area as my immigration lawyer said the other EU countries don't see the cancelled/invalid card status only Latvian border guards see the full decision report issued in Latvian) will see in the database that your card is invalid even though the valid date on the card is in the future. So my answer is if you can manage to get in between those 2 business days you can enter Latvia.

About my status, I managed to get an extension on the case and hence now I can enter EU till my case is resolved or the validity of the card I can enter.
