In mid-June I have 2 hours (arriving at 2:30 and leaving at 4:25) for a self-transfer in London Luton. I don't have any checked luggage, but will be coming from an international flight and transferring to a domestic one. Both flights are on EasyJet. I'm going from Tivat to Luton, then Luton to Glasgow. From what I can tell, the first flight is historically pretty on-time, but I'm still a bit nervous because of a self-transfer in Luton (where you must exit and then re-enter the airport). I'm wondering, can 2 hours be enough for a self-transfer in Luton? And, is the risk high enough that it's worth travel insurance? If so, which travel insurance would you recommend? I was offered Dohop travel insurance when I bought my ticket, but turned it down -- but now I'm wondering if I should get it after all, due to the tightness of the self-transfer.

No way to tell. If things go really well you can make it, but there is also a significant chance that you will miss it.

The risk is certainly high enough that you want to make a Plan B. Travel insurance is unlikely to help here.

None. Insurance for self connection is iffy and best you can hope for is a refund for the flight you misses. They will NOT pay for an alternative flight if the alternate flight is a lot more expensive (which is likely for a same day ticket). In any case you should carefully read the terms and conditions which often have lots of exclusions and tedious hard-to-meet requirements.

Personally I simply wouldn't book that itinerary. My "normal" minimum connection time for a self transfer is 4 hours and adjust it up or down based on the details.
