The country is famous for its beer, its chocolate and its comic strips. According to travel guides and travelers alike, Belgium is one of Europe's most underrated destinations.

What do shops mean when they are open 7/7?

When I have been in mainland Europe, in areas such as France or Belgium, a lot of the shops say they're open "7/7". The latter 7 presumably means 'every day' like in 24/7, but what about the other 7? Surely it's not uncommon to be open for 7 hours…

Is this weird area on the Belgium-Germany border a walkway or something different?

As you can see on the image above, Belgium and Germany have a weird border near the Oostkantons. It seems to be some kind of path east of the "real" border. Does anyone know more about this strange path and can you walk on it?
