Honolulu International Airport () is situated at the western end of the city, adjacent to the military installation Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam. The airport is a major connecting point for flights to the other Hawaiian islands as well as to the mainland and to international destinations. The city itself is home to a number of historic and cultural sites, Hawaii's major shopping and entertainment districts, and features like Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.
