Domodedovo International Airport (IATA: DME, ICAO: UUDD) is one of the main international gateways to russia, situated southeast of central moscow, the federal capital. It vies with Sheremetyevo International Airport (svo) for the title of busiest airport in the Russian Federation. A third commercial airport, Vnukovo (vko), rounds the list.
DME serves as a hub for a number of domestic carriers, including S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, Globus Airlines, VIM Airlines, and Yamal Airlines. The largest number of oneworld and star-alliance connections are available here; skyteam connections are more readily available at SVO, home of their partner aeroflot.
Domodedovo's main terminal building is divided into two concourses, with most international flights served from terminal A, and most flights from domestic and former Soviet republic destinations from terminal B.
The airport has commuter rail service, operated by Russian Railways, as well as Aeroexpress rapid service, to Paveletsky station in the Zamoskvorechye District of central Moscow. The airport road can be accessed from the junction of Kashirskoye Highway and the Moscow Ring Road.
