French Polynesia is a vast archipelago consisting of over 100 islands in the South Pacific Ocean. It is an oversea territory of France. French is the official language and is almost universally understood. The currency is the French Pacific Franc (XPF).

The capital city Pape'ete is located on Tahiti, the most populated island, itself part of the Society Island (Archipel de la Société). The other main archipelagos are the Tuamotus, the Gambier Islands, the Marquesas Islands (Îles Marquises) and the Austral Islands. The most remote islands are over 1000 km distant.

Nationals of many countries including all EU countries can enter without a visa for a stay of up to 90 days. Visitors who require a visa must get one from a French consulate.

I am Saudi and got my Schengen visa and i'd like to visit Bora Bora "French Polynesia" for a week or less. Do I need a certain visa to go there or would the Schengen visa be ok? (Note: I applied for the Schengen from the Swiss Embassy.)
