A country in Southeastern Europe

Montenegro is a country in Southeastern Europe, or the Balkan region of southern Europe. It has a coast on the Adriatic Sea to the south-west and is bordered by Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia to the northeast, Kosovo[a] to the east and Albania to the south-east. Its capital and largest city is Podgorica. With an area of 13812 square kilometers and a population of 625000 it is a rather small country.
