Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (Dutch: Luchthaven Schiphol; IATA: AMS, ICAO: EHAM) is one of the busiest gateways to , and the main international airport serving and the .

AMS is the base for and a major connecting hub and gateway for . Low-cost carriers Transavia, Vueling, and also have major operations here, as well as charter carrier TUI (formerly ArkeFly).

The terminal is designed for easy connections, with a central plaza connecting to three halls, from which radiate out piers labeled B through H and M. Most SkyTeam operations are handled in the non-Schengen Piers F, G, and H; other non-Schengen fights may depart from Piers D or E.

Located about 12km (7.5 mi) from Amsterdam-Centrum, Schiphol is very well-connected to the city. The airport rail station, located directly below the terminal, is served by local and intercity trains, including the high-speed railway offering international connections. By road, the airport is accessible from rijkswegs A4 and A9. Bus services are numerous; line 197, the Amsterdam Airport Express, offers direct service to central Amsterdam every 15 minutes for €4,75 one-way.
