Questions tagged [compensation]

Compensation refers to the act of providing a person with money or other things of economic value in exchange for the costs of injuries or difficulties that they have incurred.

In travel, this consists primarily of damages. At common law, damages are economic losses such as loss of earnings, property damage and medical expenses, and general damages, which are noneconomic damages such as pain and suffering and emotional distress.
